Adolescent and Family Therapy

I enjoy working both with adolescents and families. I assist parents in learning how to have realistic expectations and how to have boundaries and set limits. Adolescence can be a challenging time for the entire family system and everyone can benefit from learning new behaviors and attitudes that facilitate healthier interactions.

Often parents need to develop better parenting skills that allow for more self-determination of individual members of the family but within safe and clear boundaries. Expectations and consequences need to be understood as a framework for healthy family dynamics. Respect for every family member is essential.
